(TELEGRAPH) — Trevor Bayliss, the inventor of the wind-up radio, has warned the internet is dumbing down children.

Mr Bayliss, 75, voiced fears about what he described as the “Google Generation of youngsters who will be incapable of making anything with their hands.

More than three-quarters of homes in Britain now have a computer and Mr Bayliss voiced fears this could do long-term damage being done to children who spend too much time looking at screens.
